New Media Art Club, in collaboration with LCB Depot, is delighted to announce COMPUTALA, a month-long festival of art with the internet.
Taking place from January 10 to January 31, 2025 COMPUTALA will showcase innovative works that use the internet as a tool for creativity.
COMPUTALA 2025 invites audiences to engage with a wide range of digital artworks that incorporate tools such as browsers, connected hardware, mobile devices, and augmented reality, the festival offers new perspectives on connectivity, creativity, and the digital age.

Fri January 10th, 5–9pm: Exhibition Launch with Symposium and Film Screening – To celebrate the opening of COMPUTALA alongside the usual free booze and private view, we are hosting a short symposium with previous curator and Net Art researcher, Jenny Gleadell, before a screening of iconic 90’s film Hackers on VHS. Saturday January 11th, 12-4pm: Creative Family Day. Sunday January 12th & 19th, 11-5pm. Arts Award Discover: Computer Drawing with Micro:bit Robots. Over 2 days, explore coding, robots, and digital arts and earn an Arts Award Discover, accredited by Trinity College London, lead by @seancuttlefish. This short course will blend technical skill development with artistic exploration, focusing on coding, robotics, and digital arts. It is designed for young people aged 8–13 and follows the Arts Award Discover framework, offering a unique combination of practical learning and creative expression. Pre Booking essential.
