SOUND SEASON: RRREPURPOSE
Reimagining, Reusing, Resounding Obsolete Technologies Through Sound

This year’s theme, “RRRepurpose,” invites artists, performers, and technologists to explore the creative potential of obsolete technology in contemporary sound practice. From salvaged tape machines to rewired lab equipment, from decommissioned computers to DIY modular, SOUND SEASON celebrates the transformative reuse of outdated tools as instruments for contemporary sonic innovation.

Through audio performance, sound art, production experiments, and design interventions, we ask:

What new sounds can be forged from the detritus of old systems?

How can yesterday’s machines become the basis for tomorrow’s trends?

The aim is not to celebrate the world of expensive analogue synthesisers, but to explore innovative ways of reusing tech trash.
