In February 2024 the LCB creative programme focuses on Performing Arts with regular matinee performances, as well as our Leicester Comedy Festival programme from Jokes On Us. In addition we’ll have networking events for current artists and creative family activities for future ones!

The season showcases drama, dance, performance art, music and spoken word from artists based in Leicester/shire and beyond.

Wed 7th, 1-2pm, Monologue Slam by MSPA Students. Join us for a diverse showcase of acting monologues and duologues; from funny to moving, and satirical to life-affirming, come and be inspired! Students of MSPA, a collective of Leicester College, bring you uplifting vibes from their extensive performing arts training, followed by an informal Q&A about the training courses on offer at Leicester College. Thurs 8th, 12-1pm, Jam Hub by MSPA Students. A haven of chilled-out beats and lyrics to lift your mood with a live acoustic session. Students of MSPA, a collective of Leicester College, bring you uplifting vibes from their extensive performing arts training, followed by an informal Q&A about the training courses on offer at Leicester College. Fri 9th, 1-1:30pm, Breakin’ Boundaries. Have you ever felt stereotyped, boxed in or labelled? Shreya Vadnerkar explores a British Indian experience, showcased through Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance style, and Breakin’ (breakdance). A contemporary dance piece embracing the journey of finding and accepting one’s true self. Come along for FREE.


Fri 9th, 7pm Some-Antics LCF Special with Jokes on Us. Wed 14th, 1.30-2.30pm. Tues 20th, 3pm. My body at Work: Memories of Two Years by Fran Sani. A new series of autobiographical poems looking back at the experience of working a minimum-wage job in a convenience store. Storytelling and the sharing of poetry become an exploration of the way work affects the body and the way we understand our bodies and live with them as tools for work. Weds 21st, 2-3pm. Taiko Drumming Showcase from Leicester Taiko & Bullfrog Arts. A collaborative performance, open workshop and talk about the history of Taiko. Join for FREE

Fri 23rd, 12:30-1:30pm, LCPA Presentation. Students from Leicester College of Performing Arts will be showcasing their singing and musical theatre skills. Come along for FREE.
