LCB20
As we approach the later stages of 2024, LCB Depot will celebrate twenty years of being Leicester’s creative hub. We think that’s worth celebrating, with our anniversary schedule below:

Event Breakdown
7th October – 16:00 – 18:00: Official Launch of LCB20
We start the week by celebrating with our Official Launch, running from 16:00 – 18:00. More details to be announced.
8th October – 10:30 – 12:30: Cultural Compacts: A Review to date by Nic Millington
”Nic Millington of Herefordshires ‘Rural Media’ presents his evaluation to date of the Arts Council Cultural Compacts. Cultural Compacts aim to draw together cultural organisations and stakeholders from across the cultural sector in any one place to be a dynamic force for growth in audiences and experiences – maximizing public sector investment and positioning culture at the centre of things for that location.
Do they work? Nic’s review will highlight best practice and offer an informed perspective on how the sector can take an informed approach to developing a Cultural Compact.”

- Alexa Hartwell will profile Birmingham’s STEAMhouse and how they are building a collaborative community developing business ideas, skills, knowledge and ambition.
- Scala Creative Consortium at the start of their hub journey will talk about their ambition to create a multi agency collaborative venture at the Worcester Scala and Corn Exchange buildings
