Housing prices are skyrocketing in cities around the world. Incomes are not. Fredrik Gertten’s powerful documentary – which features a brand new introduction – sheds light on a new kind of faceless landlord, our increasingly unliveable cities, and an escalating crisis that has an impact on us all. This is not gentrification; it’s a different kind of monster.
Gertten and Leilani Farha, the UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing, travel the globe, trying to understand who’s being pushed out of the city and why.
This screening is taking place at LCB Depot as Phoenix cinema is closed for construction work from 9th September to 4th November. and is part of LCB’s Design for Life Season.
