14:00 – 16:00: The Rise and Rise of Creative Industries Hub Models (Presentations and Q&A)
In this session, through the testimony of others we explore the growth in creative hubs – place based initiatives which cluster creative businesses, community groups, business services, arts and cultural content. Creative hubs share a focus on building communities, innovation and collaboration. Our contributors (and with some to be announced) will provide unique perspectives to the challenges of building hubs with institutions, in urban and rural settings.
- LCB20 Host LCB Workspaces is a 4 building 3 site creative business community which has grown to position itself as the city’s creative industries hub
- Alexa Hartwell will profile Birmingham’s STEAMhouse and how they are building a collaborative community developing business ideas, skills, knowledge and ambition.
- Scala Creative Consortium at the start of their hub journey will talk about their ambition to create a multi agency collaborative venture at the Worcester Scala and Corn Exchange buildings
