For fashion revolution week this year we’ll be hosting a number of events including
Thu Apr 22nd 10am-12pm: Rethinking Fashion Design Entrepreneurship: Fostering Sustainable Practices. This research investigated creative practice in design-led fashion micro and small enterprises (MSEs) as a potential driver for change towards a more sustainable future for the fashion industry. Prof Claudia Eckert and Dr Philippa Crommentuijn-Marsh of the Open University will be talking about this research and will be sharing some of the findings. Free. May 7th 12pm Clothing Durability Dozen: toolkit launch, Join NTU to learn about their new toolkit, a resource designed to enable clothing companies to recognise, map out and celebrate what they are already doing to make quality clothes that last for longer, and build on these to develop innovative approaches to clothing durability that are tailored to each company’s requirements.
