Empire Soldiers is a breathtaking new show blending performance and technology to tell the compelling stories of forgotten Indian soldiers of WW1.

This virtual reality installation produced by Metro-Boulot-Dodo will travel to seven cities across the UK using VR headsets and surround sound to bring a truly immersive experience that is emotive and unforgettable.

Using Virtual Reality headsets and surround sound this latest show brings a truly immersive experience that is emotive and unforgettable. You will be transported back in time to 1918 alongside Caribbean and South Asian soldiers returning from the front line, hear captivating stories of the battlefield from the soldiers themselves and share their emotional experiences of the return home.

Empire Soldiers is on show from 11am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

On Friday 27 July the exhibition will run from 11am – 3pm.
The exhibition will close at 3pm to set up for a private event 4-5.30pm.
The exhibition will then reopen at 6pm – 11pm to coincide with Canteen, Leicester’s premier street food extravaganza
