A NEW team of creative minds called Window Curators has come together to bring Christmas to Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.
Following a sleigh-making workshop held on Saturday 10th December run by artist Sally Lemsford, the sleigh will be exhibited in the front window of the LCB Depot cafe/bar, facing Rutland Street, with the opportunity for members of the public and businesses to donate presents that will be displayed on the sleigh. These will then be given in a presentation ceremony to Pedestrian’s chosen children’s charity, the Rainbow Hospice for Children and Young People.
Window Curators is a newly-formed group volunteering within Pedestrian to deliver a variety of artistic work to the Cultural Quarter and the people of Leicester. Working closely with Project Coordinator Jo Lees we aim to provide what you want and need as a community.
The sleigh will be on display at LCB Depot throughout Pedestrian’s 12 Days of Christmas with a presentation of the gifts on the 12th day, Friday 16th December.
