No Place Like…
Launch 3-5pm Friday May 3rd. Exhibition open Tuesday May 7th – Thursday May 16th
‘No Place Like’ is a collaborative exhibition between second year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Styling and final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design students from De Montfort University, Leicester. Under the overall concept of ‘home’, second year Fashion Communication students were asked to consider what home means to them. Styling garments designed and made by final year Fashion Design students, these ideas of Home are showcased through individual photographic stories and installations. Topics covered include mental health, cultural experiences of family and heritage and gender roles in the home. As part of an ongoing partnership with The Bridge Homelessness to Hope charity, this exhibition is in support of the work they do here in Leicester.
