Creative Coffee Leicester – Film & Photography Special – 15th March 2023 (from 10am – 12pm)
From March 11th – 31st 2023 our host LCB Depot is exhibiting some of the best work made in the past year from emerging and established photographers and film makers and is excited to be part of FORMAT23 and asking people to explore ‘What Photography (or film!) can Be’!
So, naturally we’re jumping on the back of this to celebrate a sample of Leicester’s (and Creative Coffee’s) very own.
You can look forward to a ten in ten (slides in minutes!) from a range of speakers, including:
Adam Shaw
Director, Adam Shaw Photography
Adam is a freelance photographer based out of his studio in Leicestershire.
A Cumbrian who studied photography at Nottingham Trent University at the end of the 90s, he first entered the industry working as a photography studio co-ordinator for a global manufacturer and then moved to an in-house position with a retail design agency. Years spent working on high volume catalogue productions and for high street retailers gave him the experience and tools to transition to a successful freelance career.
Adam has since worked internationally and across the UK producing authentic, conscientious work for a wide range of organisations and businesses.
Adam is going to talk to us about ‘Getting into Assisting’.
Lee Wheeler-Tomes
Director, Orange Fox Studios
Lee is a multi-disciplined and award-winning filmmaker and video producer based in Leicestershire. He holds an MA in filmmaking from the University of Goldsmiths and cut his teeth as a video editor at one of the top branded communications companies in the UK. He has been helping large companies, creative agencies, SME businesses, charities and not-for-profit organisations share their stories through film and video production for a decade.
Lee is going to share with us the exciting journey of Orange Fox Studios who are on a mission to banish bland and boring videos!
