Meet the Team

Next year Russ will celebrate 40 years owning and running businesses from a sole trader to a company director and CEO of a multi-million pound operation. This also includes the last 10 years supporting and developing a range of other businesses first as a business consultant, advisor and mentor and now as a qualified business coach.

This hands-on business experience and being a qualified coach has enabled him to effectively support and develop the creation and growth of 100s of successful businesses from all sectors, including social enterprises.

His personable and pragmatic style, helps business owners and managers achieve their professional and personal objectives. He does this by helping them to unblock the barriers to their success, helping assess their options and enabling them to take the actions necessary to succeed.

Likes: Fly fishing, supporting Leicester City Football Club and copious amounts of red wine to dull the pain of not catching and not winning or to celebrate catching and winning of course!

Matt has worked in business support for 15 years, helping businesses of all sizes and ages to grow and become sustainable.
Matt has worked with companies across the city and county from all sectors, helping many companies apply for grants, tenders and loans. Matt has an understanding of how businesses work and how to secure funding that is right for them.

This knowledge combined with an understanding of business support provision across the city means Matt is able to offer high quality support to every business he works with.

Outside of work, Matt is a Leicester City Season ticket holder. To help cope with this disappointment, Matt is also a fan of fine food and fine wine.
