This September we’re exploring sound and music from installations to gigs, plus we’ll be hosting screenings, workshops and more.
The exhibition will feature work from established artists, as well as new talent, based in Leicester and beyond and will be online via social media @lcbdepot and in the real world across our exhibition spaces.
We’ll also be shouting about all the other amazing sound and music events in the city over the period: if you have a gig or other sound related event on during the season let us know via the submission form and we’ll get the word out
Events
Fri 2nd, 6-8pm. Launch event with performances from Virtual Ground
Fri 9th, 7pm. Sound of Metal screening at LCB from Phoenix on Tour. Tickets £6 (£5 for MyPhoenix Members) and more info here CANCELLED
Sat 10th, 12-4pm Creative family day Lots of fun activities exploring sound. Try out instruments, make your own, regular sessions. Find out more here. Regular event part of Cultural Quarter Earlies, 2nd Saturday of each month.
Fri 16th, 6pm – late Late opening for British Science Festival take over- last chance to see installation by Bret Battey
Sat 24th, 9.30 – 11.15 Artist Talks, part of Convergence 2022 from DMU MTI2 Institute for Sonic Creativity. Find out more here
Sat 24th, 5-10pm DEPOT. An evening from Leicester’s finest experimental, dance, and acoustic artists. Tickets here starting at £3, £6 on the door
