This month LCB Depot’s Creative Industries programme is focusing on Digital Arts with an online exhibition and events throughout the month. In partnership with Interact Digital Arts, Acoustic Commons, Phoenix, and University of Leicester we’ll be exploring visual, sound and interactive art from artists based in Europe and the UK, including here in Leicester.

Friday 19 June, 8pm R10 Live Internet Broadcast (catchup) part of Digital Arts Leicester
Saturday June 20th, 3-6pm: Acoustic Commons Broadcast Drawing upon live microphones installed all over the world, the broadcast will provide a journey for the ears with performances and recordings taken from this year’s Reveil event, following the sounds of the dawn chorus from country to country.

The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities at the University of Leicester will be hosting a discussion about how COVID-19 affects our digital culture and its impact on our personal, work, education, and family life, as well as it’s political, environmental repercussions.

Visible Bits Audible Bytes
Phoenix and DMU are revisiting work from the past 3 years of Visible Bits Audible Bytes an annual showcase of stunning, genre-breaking audiovisual works. Check them out here 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. In addition they’ll be running their monthly workshop for digital artists, FTP.
