” Makers 4 Makers is a NEW community support hub for makers in Leicester to connect, share ideas and to participate with skill exchanges through peer-to-peer learning and sharing. The aim of the group is to widen perspectives and develop our own practices through learning about others. All small creative businesses, practices and makers are welcome!
This will be a small open-door makers meetup in our studio with nibbles and drinks to introduce ourselves and what we would like to achieve with this community space.”
“Co-founder Navneet Virk of Seasonless will present a bit about her upcycling denim design business, we’ll present an overview of ours, then we will talk about what we want to achieve through the meetups.”
This includes:
- Sharing ideas for sustainable practice – from shipping orders, sustainably policies and net-zero schemes to reusing our created waste through sharing schemes and collaboration
- Sharing ideas for funding, exhibitions, events, workshops and opportunities.
- Learning from our peers about ways of working – including mini workshops/demos
