Secret filmed live performances screened plus DJs

Kate Jackson - artist, painter, and frontwoman of The Long Blondes – announces a new multidimensional project, Built For Sound, launching 17th December 2021 and running until the end of January 2022.

The installation features large 3 dimensional paintings with lighting and a new sound work written by The Long Blondes and recorded at R10 Heritage Studios, Leicester.

Launch night Friday 17 December 6.00 - 10.00pm
The Old Gallery and Grays cafe-bar at LCB Depot

Access to the gallery space will be limited to 3 people at a time between 6pm and 8pm.

At 8pm the gallery space will become a performance space and visitors will be asked to move to Grays Cafe to watch screened performances by R10 and secret guests.

Visitors to the gallery space will kindly be asked to wear masks while viewing the installation.

The evening will end with DJs in Grays Cafe.

Friday December 17th 6-10pm Launch Night at LCB Depot - an evening of secret filmed performances and featuring a new sound loop written by The Long Blondes and recorded by Paul Mazzitelli from R10 in Leicester. 

Saturday December 18th Synth workshop during the afternoon by R10 Installation open to the public

Jan 8th/9th Installation open to the public (potentially performances here but nothing confirmed yet)

Friday Jan 14th Disability Disco

Saturday Jan 15th Baby Disco

Saturday Jan 29th Closing party - Hoo Ha Record Club
